Pipe Layer

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Sewer Water Pipe Layer to join our construction team. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining underground sewer and water pipelines. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical skills, experience operating heavy equipment, and a solid understanding of safety protocols.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lay and install sewer and water pipelines according to project specifications and safety standards

  • Operate heavy equipment such as: excavators, backhoes, bucket trucks, and rigging tools to excavate trenches and position pipes

  • Use hand and power tools for cutting, fitting, and securing pipes and related components 

  • Ensure proper safety measures are in place during installation activities

  • Conduct routine inspections of equipment and pipelines to identify potential issues or hazards

  • Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe work environment

 

What We're Looking For:

  • Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various types of heavy equipment including: excavators, backhoes, bucket trucks, and rigging gear

  • Strong understanding of safety procedures related to trenching, excavation, and heavy machinery operation

  • Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and supervisors 

  • Physical stamina to preform manual in outdoor environments under varying weather condition 

 

This position requires a dedicated individual with a strong work ethic who is committed to safety and quality workmanship. Prior experience in sewer or water pipeline installation is preferred but not mandatory for highly motivated candidates willing to learn.

Heavy Duty Mechanic

Job Status: Open

Wild West Dirt Works is looking for a mechanically skilled individual to join our team.

Responsibilities: 

  • Preform scheduled maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, service trucks, and transport trucks and trailers 

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine issues

  • Complete accurate service records and maintenance documents

  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe environment

  • Work independently and part of a team 

What We're Looking For:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude (Ticketed or non-ticketed)

  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to document work accuratly

  • Commitment to safety and quality workmanship

  • Valid driver's license

Equipment Operator/Labourer

Job Status: Open

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Equipment Operator/Labourer to join our construction team. This role involves operating various heavy machinery and performing essential labour tasks to support construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, experience with heavy equipment, and a commitment to safety and efficiency on-site.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate heavy machinery including: dozers, excavators, and graders, with precision and adherence to safety protocols

  • Preform routine maintenance, inspections, and basic troubleshooting on equipment 

  • Assists with site preparation, grading  and other construction activities as needed

  • Support the movement of materials and supplies around the construction site using appropriate equipment

  • Follow project plans and specifications to ensure accurate execution of tasks

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety standards at all times 

  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and safely

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience operating heavy equipment including: dozers excavators, loaders, graders, and backhoes

  • Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting 

  • Construction experience demonstrating knowledge of site safety procedures and best practices

  • Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including lifting up to 40 pounds and standing for extended periods

  • Excellent teamwork skills with a focus on safety and efficiency on large-scale projects
